It has been a desire of mine for awhile to meet some of the other North Texas pet photographers as we have a passion for pets and photography. I was finally able to make that happen last week and was able to throw a party for 3 other local pet photographers. Claire of Fetch. , Allison of bluemutt, and Chris of The Modern Mutt were all nice enough to bring there dogs over for a play-date. I could not have asked for a nicer group of people and look forward to many more play-dates.
Now almost everyone brought there dogs which always makes for some funny stories. I would suggest everyone wonder over to the Fetch. Blog and read Claire’s fun version. I think the best couple of stories come from the pool. First Willie from bluemutt stepped/fell into the pool which luckily it was clean thanks to equipment from this website online. I think he thought there was a stair there for him to hop on but he totally whiffed it and dove right in and came up with this what in the world look on his face. He immediately composed himself and swam to the step. So for a second it was ok who’s diving in to get him to just funny relief. Then when Bruce from Fetch. got there he just loved the water but gave us all a nice scare when he decided to leap the hot tub in a single bound which was scary but truly impressive.
Everyone say hello to One Eye Willie he got his name from the Goonies and only the Goonies. He is also one of the smiley-est dogs you will ever meet.
Then there was Bruce the Husky or as I know like to call him The Amazing Bruce And Maddie the sweetest Boston Terrier who I got some good lap time with.
Now we have Buster the Horse taunting min-pin and then a couple of my boys Cooper the Bulldog and Frankie the Pug.
All in all I had a really great time and am really looking forward to seeing them all again. And for the interested a few more pics from the day can be found Here.
Wow – I love those pics of my little guy, Willie. I really did think I was about to be in the deep end right there with him. But he did keep on smiling 😉 We have to get back together soon so I can remember to bring my camera… what a ditz???
I love these! Bruce is such a ham…Always the center of attention. Jeez. We definitely need to make these play dates a regular thing. Loved meeting everyone & their amazing water-dogs 😉
Stephen Hsu – Such amazing phtoos, and to think that these were popped off with such pinpoint accuracy, I’m just so impressed by Kate’s talent. We never had to spend more than a minute in any location because our comfort level with Kate was so high and her ability to capture just the right moments with quick shots made everything so easy. Thank you so much Kate for phtoos that are continuing to garner high praise from our family and friends!
